How to Contact your Legislators
We must keep this issue in the forefront of their busy minds. Would you write a letter? It could be on whatever stationery you have on hand, and make it personal so that they know it is not a form letter.
• Let them know exactly how the large scale commercial farming industry has affected you personally.
• Let them know if you care deeply about the effects of large-scale commercial farming (e.g. the Christmas tree industry) on you and your family and on our community.
• Let them know if you fear the health effects of pesticides on those you love.
• Let them know if you feel that our water quality is being compromised.
• Let them know if you fear that our peaceful agricultural community is disappearing fast, that small farmers are being driven out, that people who can afford to are leaving.
Above all, please be courteous and respectful, and ask for their help in changing the laws to favor the freedom and rights of individuals.
Your letters can be hand-written or typed, in the form of a business letter or any form that works for you. Below you will find addresses and correct titles to use. We would appreciate it if you would drop us a line stating who you contacted!
